In one corner of the dining room, sits this old round teakwood table, the leg is Chinese inspired, this table is expandable to sit six, it has a deep burnt mark somewhere in the centre, I don't really mind as it gives character...
A collection of fotos of family and friends grouped together in different gold frames inter mingle with gold mirrors makes up a tablescape, a very interesting table lamp is also placed here, the base of the lamp is actually a real 'top'. It came from Mindanao Philippines,it weighs a ton...
I got it several years ago, from this shop called Serendipity, the owner of the shop who was a Scottish who became a friend has passed on since. She died of cancer, I had fond memories of her, gone are the days sitting over coffee with her... this shop was one of my favorite, it had very interesting pieces some of which were eclectic and quirky... am dedicating this particular post in memory of her, Nell... may you rest in peace.
This other table lamp also came from Serendipity, it's actually a basket, most of the pieces in Serendipity were from the Philippines, late Nell seemed to think that, stuff from there have better quality control in comparison with stuff from other Asian countries such asThailand or Indonesia thus she chose to source from there...
